Daphne Shih Gebauer
Daphne Shih Gebauer, of Vancouver, Canada, joined the Firm in April 2010. Ms.
Gebauer earned her J.D. from the New York University School of Law in 2007,
where she held executive positions with the NYU Moot Court Board and the Asian
Pacific American Law Students Association. While in law school, Ms. Gebauer
interned with the World Health Organization’s Department of Ethics, Trade, Human
Rights and Health Law in Geneva, Switzerland, and the Law & Justice Unit of ABC
News in New York City.
Prior to joining the Firm, Ms. Gebauer was an associate in the Litigation and
White Collar Defense practice groups in Foley & Lardner LLP’s Washington D.C.
office. During her time at that firm, Ms. Gebauer assisted and represented
corporate clients in a wide range of business disputes, including civil
litigation, internal investigations, class action defense, commercial licensing,
and administrative actions. Ms. Gebauer also maintained a busy pro bono practice
representing clients in immigration proceedings and landlord-tenant court.
Ms. Gebauer earned her B.A. in the English Honours Program at the University of
British Columbia, where she received numerous awards for academic achievement.
Ms. Gebauer is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia and District
of Columbia, and is a member of the Virginia Bar Association, D.C. Bar
Association, Fairfax Bar Association, and American Bar Association.
Verdicts Ms. Gebauer has obtained on behalf of her clients include Shannon v.
Randy Andrews, et al., C.A. No. 2010-2895, (Fairfax Cir. Ct. 2011) (Breach of
Contract - $856,653.54 jury verdict).
